Delete your account and data

The Atfaly Amazing app (أطفالي Amazing), made by Asfar Games.

This page is for anyone who uses Atfaly Amazing and wants their account, or some of their data, deleted. You can do it inside the app, or ask us by email if you no longer have the app.

From inside the app

A parent: open the parents' area, then the settings, and press «حذف الحساب نهائياً» (delete account permanently). We send a link to your account's email address. It works for half an hour. When you open it, the account is deleted.
A teacher: open the settings and press «حذف الحساب نهائياً». It is confirmed by the same kind of link. Deleting a teacher's account also deletes their classes and the children enrolled in them.
A child's profile made by a parent: the parent deletes it. Open the parents' area, then the child's page, and press «حذف حساب الطفل» (delete the child's profile).
A child in a class: the child has no email address, so the teacher removes the child from the class list. A parent can ask the teacher, or write to us.
A child with an account of their own (older accounts only): the same button is in the child's settings.

Without the app

Write to us at [email protected]. Please write from the email address of the account, so we know the request is yours, and tell us whether you are a parent or a teacher. For a child in a class, tell us the child's name and the class or the teacher.

Email us to delete an account

We answer by email, at the account's own address. Once the request is confirmed from that address, we delete the account and its data within 30 days.

What is deleted

The account itself and its sign-in sessions.
For a parent: every child profile that has no other parent, and the links and codes between parent and child.
For a teacher: their classes, and the children enrolled in them.
For a child: progress in the games, the words learned, points and badges, homework and what was handed in, attendance, comments, reports, the picture chosen, the pictures uploaded, and the codes.

What may be kept

Usage statistics. They carry no name, no email address and no account number, so they cannot be tied to you and cannot be picked out for deletion.
The short counts that slow repeated attempts down. They are kept for about two hours and then go on their own.
A child profile that has a second parent stays with that parent.
The email you write to us, and our answer, stay in our mailbox.

Deleting some data and keeping the account

You do not have to delete everything. Inside the app a parent can delete one child's profile and keep the account, or remove the child's birthday. A teacher can remove one child from a class, or any comment on homework in their class. A child can delete their own comment.

For anything else, write to us the same way and say which data you want deleted. We delete it within 30 days of confirming the request, and the account stays.
